Key Factors Influencing the Measurement of Vibration Levels in DC Brushed Motors

1. Impact of Fixture Weight: The weight of the fixture exhibits a notable negative correlation with the measurement results of the motor's vibration levels. When the fixture is oversized, its mass and inertia absorb a portion of the motor's vibration energy. As a result, the measured vibration levels are lower than the actual values. On the other hand, an undersized fixture may not securely hold the small vibration motor in place. During the measurement process, motor instability can lead to measurement inaccuracies, preventing an accurate representation of the motor's true vibration levels.

2. Influence of Sensor Mounting Method: Considering the circular vibration pattern of these motors, the placement of the sensor is critical for accurate vibration level measurements. Practical tests have shown that positioning the motor at the center of the fixture and mounting the vibration sensor on the fixture's side yields the highest vibration readings. Additionally, there is an inverse relationship between the sensor - motor distance and the measured vibration levels. The greater the distance, the weaker the readings.

Alternatively, customers can use PWM (Pulse - Width Modulation) duty - cycle control or add voltage - dividing resistors to lower the motor's operating voltage and, consequently, its rotational speed.
